First Roadtrip: Chicago

Last weekend Brody wanted to make one last recruiting trip to Chicago. This time we were lucky enough to tag along. We are also lucky that Jessie, Dustin and Clara live in Chicago. Madeleine got to meet everyone for the first time! She also had many other firsts...
 
First roadtrip
First time in Indiana and Illinois
First time out of Michigan (she's a well traveled 6.5 week old ).

M did very well and never even cried in the car. It wasn't hard to stop and feed her. We stopped once on the way there and once going back. Both times we happened to be in northern Indiana.  (not the finest part of the country--we stopped at two fairly sketchy gas stations and I fed her in the car. Good thing the windows are tinted or the thugs and truckers may have seen more than they bargained for lol) 

We had a great time visiting Jessie. We shopped a bit, ate out out and mostly just visited. I was kinda scared that M wouldn't sleep well at someone else's house, but she barely changed her night sleep schedule.  I think she even took more naps during the day.

 I wish we lived closer! But it's great to be a car ride away! They'll be more trips to Chi -town in our future (hopefully for Brodys internship as well )
