First, Brody came home (quite awhile ago) on Jan. 14 and surprised me with a dozen roses. He's never bought me flowers like this before. The date is noteworthy because he said it was one month from Valentine's Day so he thought he'd surprise me with flowers. Somehow it later came out that he may have purchased them on Jan 14 instead of Feb 14 simply because they are significantly cheaper in Jan. but I prefer to believe the first and less cynical reason.
I took a picture with my flowers so I could document this occurrence.
Pam also came for another visit and that has brought some excitement to my last week. She drove me back and forth to campus a bunch of times (through the snow, construction and poor road conditions) We also just visited with old friends and did some of our favorite things like eating lots of sugar and walking. We started up a new hobby-mall walking. We are not the old ladies in windsuits walking the mall at 7 a.m. but instead we are young 20 somes dodging people at 3 in the afternoon making laps through the mall. Granted people look at you like you are insane when they see you pass 5 different times and aren't carrying a purse or any bags. (we also wore more modern version of windsuits and chose yoga pants and hoddies.) Sadly, I got sick after a couple days of mall walking and wasn't healthy enough to speed walk through our local malls.
Also, Pam and I had to celebrate on Super Bowl Sunday. So sad that the Steelers lost, but we still had fun supporting our western PA "Stillers"
To say goodbye, Pam, James, Brody and I went to dinner. We took a bunch of pictures.
We had to take lots of pictures to see if I liked my hat.
