Surprise!

So I waited very patiently, well probably not very patiently in Brody's eyes, for my birthday! I was dying to know what Brody had planned for me on my birthday and to see what presents he picked out.

Brody worked on my birthday so he said that we wouldn't do anything special until 7 at night. I didn't have school and decided to take the day off work. It was super nice to just sleep in and spend the day doing whatever I wanted.

I did some cooking for Thanksgiving, shopping (for myself) and got a manicure. I loved every minute of it. It was definitely a present to stay home and just enjoy the day.

Finally, it was time for Brody to come home. I got super cute and was excited to go out. After a bit of fiasco, bc i thought I lost my gold snakeskin heels, we finally left the house. Brody had a surprise though. He made me bring a blindfold and his shooting eye muff things. I was not happy with this bc I didn't want to mess up my hair. (I think people have pictures of me looking ridiculous...i'll have to find one)

At that point I wasn't sure what he had planned but I was thinking a surprise party or a special dinner...He drove around to get me super disoriented and then led me into a restaurant. I was super embarrassed because I knew I looked ridiculous with all my blind fold and ear things. When I was finally able to take them off I was surprised to see so many of my friends waiting for me :) We were at Buca di beppo. We had an awesome dinner and I had a ton of fun. I hope everything else did too.

I was grateful for all the well wishes and presents and to all who came to help celebrate! It was an awesome birthday! I also got some pretty awesome presents from Brody!! (finally)

Birthday Festivities

Brody's parents and family threw a little dessert party for me on the Sunday before my birthday. It was fun to spend time with everyone and to eat some delicious cake!

Brody's mom made me a 'better than sex cake' and Brenda bought me an entire cheese cake factory cheesecake!! It was red velvet and very delicious. Though, I didn't need the millions of calories in those cakes...

I also got some amazing presents. I got some awesome Soreil snow boots, a cute poncho cardigan, scarf, clutch and fleece sweater.

November's List of Things

I haven't taken any pictures this month, but I thought I'd at least document what I've been doing in November..

1. Got the flu or food poisoning for the first time in my memory...it sucked but I lost four pounds

2. Gained my four pound back, plus some probably because Brody bought me 5 boxes of raisenettes. Stupid raisenettes...ruining my life.

4. Ate raisenettes while watching Twilight (midnight showing) with my mother-in-law...I actually really like it!

5. Suffering from insomnia ever since watching Twilight...actually I haven't slept all month.

6. School almost killed me (explanation for insomnia) but I turned in a bucket-load of assignments yesterday!!

Well...most of those things weren't too positive..but the next two days are two of my most favorite days of the year!!! Yay for a VACATION!! and hopefully lots of SLEEP!

Lame this Halloween

Unfortunately, I was sick and had a ton of homework over Halloween weekend. I was simply exhausted and way too lazy to dress up. I did make these though for Brody's family party.



I planned to be Teresa from Real Housewives of New Jersey--hence the black hair. Unfortunately that took too much effort.
