I can't believe that about a year ago I got pregnant and now I have my sweet 3 month old.
Life here really hasn't been that exciting. Brody started back at school after a very long Christmas break. M and I have also settled into more of routine. She has started to nap pretty consistenly (always a morning nap between 9 and 930) and depending on how long she sleeps, she usually take another nap around 12 and then sometime in the afternoon. I have started to work out each morning and clean a part of my house each day of the week. I don't run out for errands too often, since its horribly freezing lately. (-20 this morning!)
The last month has been a bit rough for me. I had a sore throat and then a cold. Also, Madeleine has decided that she doesn't like to sleep at night anymore. I had a hard time getting better and have been feeling really run down for awhile. The lack of sleep has really gotten to me. Its amazing what no sleep can do to a person. I have been having a hard time feeling motivated to eat well, to exercise or really to do anything productive. It also makes me a less happy individual. I am working on being grateful and happy, even if I don't get much sleep. I have tried everything possible (besides letting her cry it out) to get her sleeping schedule to improve. (She was much better at 6 weeks than she is now...I really can't figure it out!)
But on to her accomplishments at her 3 month mark!
-tries to sit up on her own
-eats/sucks on her little hands
-naps well
-rolls from a sitting position to her stomach
-laughs and coos (makes a ton of noise)
-likes kicking her toys on her play mat

Holidays 2012
This year was quite different than Christmas before. Most different of all was the location. This was the first year that we haven't been around a lot of family and of course it was our first time in Michigan for the holiday. (and with a baby) We were able to spend Christmas Eve and day with my parents.
We also had a little Christmas party before all of our friends in Ann Arbor made a mass exodous to Utah. We had a popcorn bar, hot chocolate and cookies. It was fun to finally host a party, even if it did stress me out like crazy. I was super lucky to have Pam come visit for a few days. We had tons of fun catching up, watching Gossip Girl (our new show) and eating chocolate. She was a major help in getting ready for the party!
Brody and I took Pam home to PA so she could meet her parents and fly to the Bahamas (lucky). Brody and I stopped by Johnstown to see David and Douglas. It was a super short trip, but it was good to see them. We stopped by my sister's house and spent the night with her. Next time we see them, they'll be a new baby in the family!
Back to Christmas...The baby was super spoiled and nearly all the present under our Christmastree I mean lamp, were for her. She got lots of clothes and toys. Brody and I used our presents (money) to purchase new iphones. We LOVE them. We made prime rib for dinner and ate delicious pie for dessert.
New Years Eve was pretty uneventful. My parents took us to lunch. We went to Zingerman's. It was hillarious to see them at such a place. They are not fans of unique or trendy food/restaurants. lol
All of our friends were gone so Brody and I just watched football and the ball drop and toasted each other at midnight. Life is definitely different with a baby.

Top 12 in 2012
This is my new tradition. I like to list the top things that happened in the past year. 2012 was pretty exciting. I may be the only person who isn't super excited for 2013. This year will be another year of work and not much play. But at least I have my cute baby to spend the year with.
Brody will be super busy in school, hopefully working a lot at an internship this summer and then more school in the fall. I'm excited for the adventures that are to come, but I don't think it could top all the things that happened in 2012. It's been a great year!
1. Pregnancy and birth of baby Madeleine
2. Brody starts MBA- We move to Michigan
3. Our fabulous cruise, we visited 3 new countries (Hondouras, Belize and Grand Cayman)
4. I graduate with my MPA!!
5. Brody's first trip to San Fran
6. Awesome full-time job after graduation-which turned into part time job now
7. Purchasing our first set of nice furniture (first dinner table and bed)
8. Sisters and family all coming to visit for Thanksgiving
9. Parents serving their mission in Detroit- getting to see them on a weekly basis
10. Lots of visits from family and friends
11. Trips to new cities like Chicago and Detroit. Brody visited many new states as we drove across the country!
12. Celebrating many firsts with our perfect baby!
