Top 13 of 2013

I'm continuing my tradition of reviewing my favorite things of the past year. It has been an year full of excitement and more of the mundane. The year started off slow, but the summer and fall were much more eventful and fun!

In no particular order...
1. Visiting UT(3 times) for much needed babysitting and family time
2. Girls Trip to Chicago
3. Living in and exploring Minneapolis
4. Staying in a penthouse in NYC and enjoying a whirlwind weekend there
5. More travel (including visiting family in AZ and Jessie in Chicago) and all our weekend trips while living in New Jersey and trip through the UP of Michigan
6. Finding out that we will move to California (Brody got a job offer!)
7. Friends visiting Ann Arbor (Jessie, Pam, James, Julie, Cache and the Newmans)
8. Freezing to death at the BYU Notre Dame game on my 28th birthday
9. Planning for and throwing Madeleine’s first birthday
10. Watching my baby learn to crawl, walk, talk and much more!
11. Planning events and parties for Relief Society (sounds silly, but I really enjoyed being in charge of a breakfast and being on the committees for many more activities)
12. Getting back in shape (almost getting abs--almost) at our gym. I love it there!!
13. Learning to be a stay at home mom (challenging for me, but rewarding) and just the everyday moments of being with Brody and Madeleine!

We rung in the New Year in a very low key way (same as last year) and I suppose we will continue to be lame on the New Year for years to come. lol We flew in from Utah that day and we were exhausted. This is what it looked like leading up to the ball dropping...

He did wake up eventually to toast in the New Year with me. I had a sip of Martinellis and then went straight to bed. I wasn't too concerned about the boring New Year's Eve because we were leaving on our trip in a couple of days...so that was going to be our New Year's celebration. We are getting old :)
