Last Wednesday was our 4th anniversary. Brody had a packed schedule that day. Breakfast at 7 and dinner at 5:30 (for work). This left little time for us to spend together. We knew this ahead of time so the weekend before we crossed off one thing on our "To Do in Minneapolis" list and took a steamboat cruise down the Mississippi.
The weather was horrible; cold and rainy. (actually its been unseasonably cold here for weeks now). But thankfully the boat had an indoor area so we could see and sit in warmth. Madeleine crawled around and socialized with the other boat cruisers.

We went through the damn and locks along the river, which was pretty cool. I was kind of disappointed in the scenery. Maybe it would have been better if it was sunny. But I did get to ride on a cool steam boat, which for some reason I have always wanted to do.
The night of our real anniversary we were actually able to go to dessert, ALONE. So nice and I am grateful for our extremely nice neighbors who volunteered to watch M.
