Is 27 Considered Late 20s?

Well whether it is considered late 20s or not, Brody turned the big 27 on Sunday. We did a few things to celebrate. Some worked out better than others, but overall it was a great weekend.

On Saturday we went to Luganos, a restaurant that Brody has been wanting to try ever since we moved to our place in SL. We have procrastinated going because it is expensive and fancy. Well I thought a birthday was a good excuse to go.

James and his date joined us. He was on a lay over from a flight from NY to San Fran. He so generously bought us dinner. I was in shock but obviously a good and happy shock. We all ate amazing food. Brody got lamb shank and risotto.

On Sunday, I woke early and surprised Brody with crepes for breakfast (can you tell his Bday is centered around food?) I also gave him his presents. I bought him two lovely shirts (he loves shirts with stupid sayings) and some cheese. I wanted to buy him a cheese of the month club subscription, but they are way too expensive, so I made my own. (I'll buy him cheese every month)

Then we made a delicious pizza with tomatoes from our garden and I made dessert.

It was a blueberry, creme cheese danish cake. It def did not look like it did on Jessie's blog, but it still tasted good. Too bad I can't get the aesthetics to match the taste.

Brody's family came over to share dessert. and to our surprise, Brody's mom bought Brody the exact same presents. A funny tshirt and lots of cheese! I think she one-upped me.

  2. I would be shocked too when James offered to buy dinner. Nice to see he is out of the mooch phase, at lease for B-Day celebrations.
