Happy 2010!

So after Christmas I went back to work for two days (I figured I should work since we didn't go out of town for Christmas. It was my first year working during Christmas break, but I survived. It actually wasn't bad at all. Staying in Utah this year gave me the awesome opportunity of spending New Years Eve at Snowbird with Brody's family. Brody, his brother and I spent the day skiing at Snowbird resort. (we had been skiing once before at Sundance, but it did not prepare me for my experience at Snowbird) I had soo much fun and the snow was amazing, but it was extremely difficult. I am no advanced skier, so I had many difficulties trying to get down the slopes! I also overestimate my abilities as a skier so I got myself stuck on runs that were way above my abilities!

Before our skiing adventure!

After our skiing adventure that included losing Brody on multiple occasions, falling after Brody ran into me, a mysterious cut on my face and an exhausted husband who barely could hike up to our car, we got ready for our fancy dinner and for fireworks. Brody's aunt and uncle were kind enough to provide us passes for the day and their condo to get ready in. After we got all dressed up they treated us to an amazing 4 course dinner in the hotel's lobby. It was one of those 3 hour affairs. It was delicious and fun! I felt like an important person with all the great service and delectable food. I also got to fill my childish desires of seeing fireworks! I stood in the freezing cold on the balcony so I didn't miss anything. We also got to watch skiers light up the mountain. Every year volunteers hold torches and ski down the mountain, lighting it up! Beautiful! It was such a fun night! It ended with us ringing in the New Year at our friends winter cabin and with a kiss from my love :)I put my hair in hot rollers so I had serious Shirley Temple hair (my mother would have been proud)

Appetizers before dinner (like I needed any more food)

Waiting for fireworks! This was my Christmas dress that Pam talked me into buying. I love it though!
